How we make our books
The Method Press is an independent imprint. We look through large bodies of messy, contradictory experience and turn them into readable, careful judgment.

Four rules we edit by
- 1
Many accounts, not one voice
We read what many people report from their own work, instead of building on a single expert’s system.
- 2
Dates stay attached
A lesson is only useful if you know when, and under what conditions, it held.
- 3
Disagreement is evidence
Where experienced people contradict each other, we show both sides and look for the variable that explains it.
- 4
Limits are stated
Self-reported experience is not audited proof. We say what can and cannot be concluded.

Meta Ads: The Hard-Won Lessons
Jan 2023Sep 2026
- Source
- Public Reddit discussions from advertisers describing their own accounts.
- Period
- January 2023 to September 2026, read with dates attached.
- Limits
- Experiences are self-reported, not independently audited results.
- Disagreement
- Conflicting accounts are kept side by side, with the conditions that may explain them.
- Freshness
- Platform-specific advice is checked against when it was said. Older is not automatically wrong, newer is not automatically right.
